Based in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, the Baltimore Orioles are a member of the American League and play in the Eastern Division of the Major League Baseball. They are an American professional baseball team that was founded back in 1901 as the American League’s founding member, together with seven other franchises. They were originally known as the Milwaukee Brewers based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and afterwards were relocated to St. Louis and therefore called the St. Louis Browns. They changed their name into the Baltimore Orioles subsequent to their relocation to Baltimore in 1954, having experienced almost 52 years of unfortunate seasons as the St. Louis Browns. They won the National League Championship games with the help of John McGraw as their manager. The team is fondly called the Birds or the O’s.
