Based in Cleveland, Ohio, the Cleveland Indians are a member of the American League’s Central Division. As an American professional baseball team, the Cleveland Indians play their home games at the Progressive Field, previously known as Jacobs Field. They hold their spring training in a training facility located in Goodyear, Arizona. The team was founded in 1901 and was primarily established as a Major League franchise. They have won a total of two World Series titles and since experienced a 62 year drought without winning a single championship game. The Indians are also called The Wahoos or The Tribe. They were derived from the Lake Shores in 1900 as a founding member of the American League. When the team was formally established in 1901, it was named the Cleveland Blues.
