One of the charter members of the American League, the Detroit Tigers are an American professional baseball team based in Detroit, Michigan. They are a member of the Major League Baseball, and were originally established in Detroit in 1894. Their home park is the Comerica Park in Downtown Detroit. Throughout its existence, the Detroit Tigers have won four World Series titles and ten American League pennants. From the Bennett Park in 1896, the team relocated to Navin Field in 1912, which was renovated and improved in 1938. It was then called the Briggs Stadium. Prior to moving to the present home park, the Briggs Stadium was given a new title as the Tigers Stadium where they played until 1961.
