Founded in 1993, the Florida Marlins are an American professional baseball team that plays in the Eastern Division of the National League. The team is a member of the Major League Baseball and was established as an expansion franchise in Florida. The Sun Life Stadium, which is also where the Miami Dolphins and the University of Miami football team play their home games, is considered their home park. The Florida Marlins are known for making it to the postseason only in 1997 and 2003 where they also won the World Series. The franchise is planning to build a new stadium where they would then be playing their home games. Their total value is $360 million.
