Based in Kansas City, Missouri, the Kansas City Royals are an American professional baseball team and a member of the MLB. They currently play in the Central Division of the American League. Ever since their establishment, the Kansas City Royals play their home games at the Kauffman Stadium. Their first World Series title was won in 1985. The team was named as such because of the livestock show, American Royal. They also have a similar logo to that of the Kansas City Monarchs. They were originally an expansion franchise in Major League Baseball in Kansas City way back 1969. They were founded by a local businessman in Kansas, Ewing Kauffman. In a very short period of time, the Kansas City Royals were able to make it to the play offs from1976-1985, with prominent players Bret Saberhagen, Frank White and George Brett.
