The San Diego Padres are an American professional baseball team based in San Diego, California.  As a Major League Baseball team, the San Diego Padres play in the Western Division of the National League.  From its establishment in 1969, the team has won two times in the National League pennant, and lost in the World Series twice.  Unlike the Dodgers and Giants who originated from New York, the San Diego Padres are originally from California.  The name Padres came from the Pacific Coast League team in 1936.  They regularly hold their spring trainings at the Peoria Sports Complex in Peoria, Arizona.  This was formerly done at the Desert Sun Stadium in Yuma, Arizona which was said to be short in workable facilities.  The relocation of their spring training games venue became a controversy, as their fans preferred the first training facility due to its accessibility.  Looking for San Diego Padres snapbacks?
