A professional basketball team based in Cleveland, Ohio, the Cleveland Cavaliers, also known as the Cavs started playing as an expansion team in the NBA (National Basketball Association). Nick Mileti was its owner, and the team’s first play was in 1970. The Cleveland Arena serves as their home court, and had a terrible record of 15-67, with Bill Fitch as their coach. The Cleveland Cavaliers once aimed for wins with Austin Carr in the team, but never accomplished this due to an unfortunate injury that cut his career short. Eventually, with the addition of highly capable players such as Jim Chones, Dick Snyder and Jim Cleamons, they were able to advance their records until they won a division title during the 1975-76 season. The Cavs then won in the next two seasons, garnering 43 winning games from 1976 to 19878, but had many early playoff exits which were followed by the resignation of Fitch as their head coach.
