The Detroit Pistons are a professional basketball team in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Originally the Forte Wayne (Zollner) Pistons, the Detroit Pistons play their home games at The Palace of Auburn Hills. They were initially a member of the National Basketball League in 1941, and became a member of the National Basketball Association in 1948. From Forte Wayne, Indiana, the team relocated to Detroit in 1957 and has successively won three championships from then on. The last championship game they triumphantly played and won was in 2004. To constantly rebuild the team, Georgetown University student Greg Monroe was chosen with the 7th pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. Equally, Terrico White was selected from the University of Mississippi. In the same year, the team signed different contracts for Tracy McGrady, Will Bynum and Ben Wallace, among others, for them to stay with the Pistons.
