The Detroit Lions are a professional football team hailing from Detroit, Michigan and are part of the NFC (National Football League). All of their home games are played at the Ford Field located in downtown Detroit. The team first started out as the Portsmouth Spartans when they were located in Portsmouth, Ohio. It wasn't until 1934 that the team was moved to Detroit as a result of Portsmouth being the smallest team with an NFL team at that time. In 2008, the Detroit Lions became the first team in NFL history to lose every single regular season game. They have however won 4 NFL championship games (1935, 1952, 1953, 1957). The Detroit Lions have also had 16 hall of famers over the years. However, next to the Arizona Cardinals, the Detroit Lions have the longest time without a championship in the entire league.
