The Houston Texans are an American professional football team based out of Houston, Texas and part of the Southwest Division of the American Football Conference. Formerly an expansion team, they became the states main team after the Oilers were relocated to Tennessee. The team really didn't get started until August 5th 2002 when the Houston Texans made their debut against the New York Giants in the Pro Football Hall of Fame event at Fawcett Stadium in Canton, OH. In their first real game against the Dallas Cowboys though they took everyone by surprise by winning the game by 9 points. This made them the 2nd expansion team in history to win their first ever National Football League game.
