The Indianapolis Colts are a professional football team and are part of the American Football Conference, South Division of the National Football league. The Colts actually started in Baltimore, Maryland back in 1952 when they were aptly named the Baltimore Colts. They didn't become the Indianapolis Colts until the two leagues merged in 1970. After they became a part of the NFL though, the teams record has been pretty outstanding. The Colts are actually the first team, in 5 consecutive seasons, to win 12 games or more. Their only Super Bowl victory to date was in 2007 when they defeated the Chicago Bears 29-17. This was the first game in history where rain fell for the entire game. In this game, Paton Manning of the Indianapolis Colts was awarded the MVP of the Super Bowl.
