The St. Louis Rams are a professional football team in the National Football Conference, West Division and are based in St. Louis, Missouri. Over the course of their career, they have won three NFL championships but only one of which was a Super Bowl (the other two were from before the American Football League officially merged with the NFL in 1970). From 1946 until 1994 they were actually base out of California going by the name “LA Rams.” They returned back to St Louis for the 1995 season after their plans to build a new stadium in Anaheim never came to fruition. As a result of this failed attempt, in 1995, Georgia Frontiere was given the go ahead to relocate the team to their current location of St. Louis, Missouri. They started off playing all of their home games at Busch Memorial Stadium but that was only until what is now known as the Edward Jones Dome was finally finished.
