The Calgary Flames are a professional mens hockey team founded in 1972 and are part of the National Hockey league (also known as the NHL). In addition, they are part of the Northwest division in the western conference. Unlike most places who have had only one or maybe two professional teams represent them over the years, the Calgary Flames are actually the third professional hockey team to be based out of Calgary Canada. Not only that but they actually are the second of two professional hockey teams based out of Alberta, Canada. Unfortunately for the Calgary Flames though the first and last time they won the Stanley Cup was in 1989. Dispite their lack of championship wins, the Calgary Flames snapbacks are still wildly popular with hockey fans and trend setters alike.
