Members of the National Hockey League’s Pacific Division of the Western Conference, the San Jose Sharks are an American professional ice hockey team. They are based in San Jose, California and play their home games at the HP Pavilion at San Jose, which is also called the Shark Tank. The San Jose Sharks were founded in 1991, and were named as such ever since their establishment. Black, White, Burnt Orange and Deep Pacific Teal are the team’s official colors. They are owned by San Jose Sports and Entertainment Enterprises, with CEO Greg Jamison. Their minor league affiliates include the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL and the Worcester Sharks of the AHL. The team is currently coached by Todd McLellan and led by team captain Joe Thornton. Since their beginning, the San Jose Sharks have won a total of 6 division titles and one Presidents’ trophy.
